Fan Yu causes trouble for Jiu Si, and he’s kicked out of the Yamen to work as a gate guard instead. Jiu Si discovers that Master Zhao is stealing the grains from the Youzhou granary so he can sell them to other cities for profit. Yu Ru is taken hostage by bandits to use as a bargaining tool so that Jiu Si will allow the transport through his gate during his watch.
