Depressed, Mei Yan becomes alcoholic, but gives the booze up finally on the advice of Sai Bond to attend to her unborn child. Yau Hong has nothing going for him after leaving the company, and decides to regain his power-within the company through his unborn child. Unmoved, Mei Yan asks Yau Hong to file for separation. At Yiu Ming’s office, Yau Hong tries again to convince Mei Yan. Failing that, he blames what has happened on Mei Yan. At “Sun Kwan Kin”, Ngai Kwa finds that both Cho Kwan and Kin are very dedicated to the business, and is very pleased. Ngai Kwa finds that Wai Lung did not manage "Kwan Kin" well after taking over, and business is poor. He immediately terminates his guarantor relationship with Kwan Kin, which throws Wai Lung into economic hardship.
